"Draping Folds"

(Silk; crayon-drawing, draping)

This work explores the transformation of an image through some of the manipulations made available by the inherent logic of fabric. The image of a statue was projected on a draped screen which also showed other previous creases. This second image was pencil-drawn on a silk fabric which was also folded with new creases. Finally, the silk fabric was draped again to hang. Thus, the real cloth and the depicted cloth are made to interact equally upon each other.
